Questions, answered.
QR ordering
How does QR ordering work?
Each table, room, or counter has its own QR code. Guests scan it with their phone camera and land on a menu already scoped to that location — no app required.
Do guests need to download an app?
No. The menu and ordering flow open directly in the phone's browser.
Can guests still order through a server instead?
Yes — QR ordering runs alongside staff-taken orders, not instead of them.
Does it work for international guests?
Yes — guests can read the menu in their own language and see prices converted to their currency, which makes Gueridon a natural fit for tourist areas.
Payments
Does Gueridon process payments?
Payment processing is on our roadmap. Today, orders and bookings are managed in the platform while payment is settled the way you currently handle it at the table or counter.
Can guests pay directly from their phone?
In-app payment is planned as part of our integrations roadmap — see our Integrations page for what's coming.
What payment providers will you support?
We're planning support for major providers including Stripe and Square. Talk to us about your current setup.
Multi-location
Can I manage multiple locations from one account?
Yes. Each venue is its own subscription at €99 a month, and each keeps its own menu, floor plan, staff and reports.
Does loyalty carry across locations?
No — a stamp card is per venue. Each venue sets its own threshold and its own reward, and a guest builds separate progress at each one. The guest account itself is the same across venues; the card is not.
Can each location have its own menu?
Yes — menus, pricing, and availability are configured per location.
Inventory
Does inventory update automatically?
Yes — every order sold deducts the ingredients used, based on the recipe behind each menu item.
Can I track ingredients, not just finished dishes?
Yes, tracking is ingredient-level, tied to recipes rather than a flat in-stock toggle.
Will it alert me before something runs out?
Yes, low-stock signals surface on the admin dashboard ahead of service.
Tablets & hardware
Do I need new tablets or POS hardware?
No new hardware is required for QR ordering or the digital menu — guests use their own phones.
What devices does the staff portal run on?
Any modern browser, on a phone, tablet, or desktop — staff aren't tied to a specific device.
Can I show my menu on a TV screen?
Yes — the Display Board runs in any TV browser or on a streaming stick. It rotates your menu, refreshes itself every minute, and shows a closed screen outside opening hours.
What happens if the internet drops?
Guest menus are offline-ready — recently viewed menus stay readable from the phone's cache, and live features resume when the connection returns.
Cafés & small venues
Does Gueridon work for a venue with more than one service point?
Yes — a counter, a terrace, and a bar can each have their own menu and QR context while sharing one guest profile.
Is it a good fit for a small café?
Yes. A single-counter café pays the same €99 as a hundred-cover restaurant and gets the same platform — the modules it does not need simply stay closed. See our cafés solution page.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
€99 per venue per month, or €990 a year, excluding VAT. There is one plan and it contains every module — no tier holds back the reports. See pricing.
Is there a contract, or can I cancel anytime?
No minimum term. Pay monthly and stop whenever you like — which is what seasonal venues do, closing the subscription out of season and picking it up again with everything still in place.
Do you offer a free trial?
No. You pay for the first month, and you have seven days to change your mind — we refund it in full. See pricing.
